When we are young we ask lots of questions; we are curious. When we get older too many of us stop and become accepting - why??
Blog 9 - Don't let life lead you.
Don't let life lead you. Get on the front foot and Lead through Life.
After a transition there is sometimes an in-congruence as we establish 'what's next'. Take some time to review your schedule and very quickly you will find yourself and the peace of knowing you are in control and congruence.
Blog 8 - A vision and a definiteness of purpose
18 months ago, I wrote a vision statement for my life in 5 - 10 yrs. It included an idea of a house that we would build over looking the Tararua mountains north of Wellington. At that time we had no idea about buying land or building house; this week we moved into that house. A vision and definiteness of purpose along with a load of positive energy made it happen. Everything exists first in the mind and then, only then in substance.

Blog 6 - The still, small voice
There is a voice in all of our heads. It's the voice that says; you're not good enough, people will laugh, it will take too long, why bother. There is another voice; the quiet one that says; yes you can.
Blog 5 - Do Nothing; but plan it.
If your computer is playing up the IT guy is likely to tell you to turn it off and turn it on again. How often have we taken that advice for ourselves. Sometimes we need time to do nothing.
Blog 4 - Friendship
Jim Rohn said;
"we are the average of the five people we spend most time with"
Does that mean we should dump people around us; I think there is a smarter way.
Blog 3 - Laissez-faire Leadership Style
Of the three leadership styles we teach at 80 Summers, by far the hardest to get our heads around is Laissez-faire (Delegative) leadership. Most of the time, if we think we are operating with this style, we are not; in fact, we are not really leading. Laissez-faire leadership is only achievable with highly proficient, trained teams. Watch the video to find out more.
Blog two - The brain
The brain is an amazingly complex organ and sometimes that causes us to run scared of learning. This blog simplifies our brain to the size of our fist and explains how the different parts of our brains causes us to react or respond.
The first ever Blog - 168 Hours
In this post we focus beyond our 80 Summers and ask, with 168 hours in a week, how do you spend your time; smartly?
